Artist Residency in Lisbon (Open Call) | Prisma Estúdio

Who Are We?
Prisma Estúdio is a non-profit volunteer-run cultural association in the most diverse quarter of central Lisbon (Martim Moniz). Dedicated to the research, creation, and dissemination of the arts; our mission is to support emerging artists from various creative backgrounds, helping them to develop their practice and share their work. Drawing on the principles of research, creation, production, distribution and promotion of artistic and cultural events, to the benefit of our associates and Portugal.
Since 2019, our studio has been supporting artists from a diverse range of creative practices. We gained association status in February 2020 and have since collaborated with hundreds of artists – hosting exhibitions, salons, workshops, poetry slams and arts & craft fairs.
We have created a space where our members consistently return to find inspiration and make connections. This gives a foundation for the residency program to build upon, bringing together likeminded locals and internationals alike.

The Program.
You will be immersed in Lisbon’s vibrant underground artistic community. Engaging in our eclectic program of events, schedule of workshops, and collaborating with community members.
We welcome artists and organisers from diverse practices and backgrounds, researchers, curators, and critics for a minimum of 1 month.
We offer residents the possibility to explore techniques, concepts, ideas, and collaborations, to develop any project either specific to the residency or ongoing. Throughout you will receive friendly guidance and peer-to-peer support from our welcoming community.
During the last week of the program we give our residents full autonomy to take over the space, be it through a final showcase of works, talks, workshop, open studio, or performance in the studio/event space in Prisma.
