At PRISMA on September 26th at 7pm we invite you to get to know our artists in residence who will open the doors of their studios and offer a unique showcase of their work. This month’s artists are: Nutsa Kurdadze, Onul Kundakçı, Taba Reed, Minkyung Chung.
Nutsa Kurdadze / Visual Artist: An alien perspective of searching for life beyond their home planet.
Each image captures otherworldly visions of the order on Earth. Medium: AI-generated images based on real life photography.
Taba Reed / Printmaker: Specializing in Printmaking at Glasgow Schools of Art, learning traditional processes such as etching and lithography whilst finding her own methods. Her practice during the residency has been street centric; capturing people, extracting them from the beat back streets and creating narratives that connect them, using mythology and the possibilities enabled by imagination.
Onul Kundakçi / Multidisciplinary artist: Onul Kundakçi stresses liberation of the mind from conditions framed by dogmatic doctrines. Her works concern freedom of all living beings and consists of upcycling and reinventing waste materials.
Minkyung Chung / Egg Artisan: In this showcase, Minkyung, also known as Min, invites you ‘behind the curtains’ to explore her creative process for the Egg Tile series. Step into a space replicating her worktable, where you can observe the egg’s transformation through various stages— from its original shell to broken fragments meticulously reassembled, and ultimately into its intricate tile form. Providing an intimate glimpse into the delicate and thoughtful evolution of Min’s Eggtone journey.
