In recent years Hélder Castro’s works explore the landscape theme. These landscapes appear by the gesture of painting. The act makes room for a visual memory that suggests “places” on the border between the real and the imagined, the abstract and the figurative. Most of them are works emptied of references, which are imposed as a foreign body, however, familiar to the observer.

Professor of Arts Management at the António Arroio Artistic School (EAAA), adviser to the Board of EAAA; Visual artist, Atelier Bombarda, Lisbon. Culturgest – provides scientific coordination services for content and debate formats for young audiences and support for teacher training, Master in Management and Cultural Studies – Dissertation: “Management of the Arts – Renovation of the program applied in specialized artistic education”(Project work submitted as a partial requirement to obtain the Master’s degree in Management and Cultural Studies / ISCTE-IUL.
