Who Are We?
PRISMA is a volunteer-led and volunteer-operated cultural association in the most diverse quarter of central Lisbon (Martim Moniz). We are a collective of expert curators, cultural managers, and artists. Prisma exists to provide opportunities for emerging artists. We invite artists from various practices to participate in our residency program to develop their work. The residency is an invitation to explore and participate in our vibrant community.

Guidelines
Ensure you carefully read over the guidelines and research Prisma. We will prioritise applicants whose project demonstrates an understanding of our community and ecosystem.
Length of residency:
- One month
- Two months
- Three months
The cost for each month of the residency is 825€. Studio residencies cost 350€. If successful you must pay a deposit equivalent to one month’s fee, payable within 7 days to secure your space.
Artists will receive an official invitation letter to apply for international mobility funds.

- APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE
- Letter of motivation: a brief description of current practice, statement of intent, an outline of the project you intend to develop, and the estimated number of hours per week you will dedicate to the residency (500 words max);
- Portfolio: (5 -10 images) include dimensions, technique, title, and date (max. 10MB total);
- All applications should be written in English and submitted as a single PDF link
- HOW IS YOUR APPLICATION EVALUATED?
- Applications are evaluated by a selection committee comprised of artists, curators, community members, and board members. Applicants will be notified via email as soon as possible after selections have been made. You may be invited to participate in a short video interview.
- WE WILL CONSIDER:
- Quality of the work, potential outreach of the residency, and potential ability to benefit from a Prisma residency.
